FAQ
How do you work? i.e., What is the process?
When a potential client comes to me with a service request, I evaluate the complexity of the project, the estimated number of hours required to complete the project, and a quote for the total amount of work. Clients are then asked to sign a scope of work to commence the project. During the course of the project, I maintain constant communication and share important milestones with my clients. All projects include a pre-determined number of revisions and reviews.
How much do you charge and how do you bill?
My fees are determined by the type, complexity and length of a project. I typically charge by the hour for writing, editing and proofreading services, but can work on retainer or on a pre-arranged payment plan. Note that for B2B projects, I work on a 1099-basis. Please submit an inquiry through my Contact page for a project-specific estimate.
Can you provide references?
Yes, I can provide excellent references from my past and current clients.
Can you provide samples?

I use any means necessary to stay in constant communication with my clients. This includes email, fax, telephone, WebEx, GoTo Meeting, Yahoo! Messenger, Skype and MSN Messenger.
What is your average turnaround time?
This really depends on the service request. A 10-page legal document can be proofread in a day or two. A 150-page technical user’s manual may require up to two months of work. I provide all clients with a detailed scope of work, milestone schedule and delivery date, up front and in-writing.
How does payment work?
Currently, I accept payment via check, bank wire or PayPal.
What if I’m not satisfied?
I aim to deliver the best. You are guaranteed a pre-determined number of revisions for your document. Should you exceed the number of revisions and feel that I have not fulfilled my agreement, I will perform a detailed walk through of the issues.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes. If you do not have your own boilerplate B2B/Independent Contractor agreement for me to sign, I will draft one for the project at no cost to you. In the agreement, the terms of service are outlined, as well as any special considerations. Note that I have signed many Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) in the past, and I am accustomed to this standard practice.
